Madurodam is a miniature park located between the center of The Hague and Scheveningen beach. A short tram ride or a pleasant 20-minute walk brings you right to the coast. The park showcases meticulously crafted scale models (1:25) of famous Dutch landmarks and cities. Madurodam is highly recommended and a popular, child-friendly attraction where the little ones can feel like giants.
The park is named after George Maduro, a Dutch war hero who died in a concentration camp during World War II. His parents donated the initial funds for the park in memory of their son.
